1. The short version
This site sets one analytics cookie by default, to count visits. You can turn it off below or from the banner, and that choice is remembered. There is no advertising network here, no social media pixel, and nothing that follows you to other websites.
2. Your current choice
Analytics is on unless you turn it off. Switching it off stops the counting immediately and removes nothing else about how the site works. You can change your mind here as often as you like.

3. Essential cookies
These are set only when they are needed to do something you asked for. Under regulation 6(4) of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 they do not require consent, because without them the thing you requested cannot happen.

It is HttpOnly, so no script can read it, and SameSite=Lax, so it is not sent from other sites.
4. Analytics, which you can turn off
We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which pages people find useful. It runs in two different states depending on what you choose, and the difference matters, so it is set out plainly here.
By default, and this is the important part. Analytics storage is switched on from your first page view, so the cookies below are set straight away and Google can recognise the same browser across visits. We have chosen to make this opt-out rather than opt-in. We would rather tell you that directly than describe it as something you agreed to.
If you turn it off.Storage is switched off using Google's Consent Mode. The existing cookies stop being read, no new ones are set, and the counting stops. Google still receives a request containing your IP address and the page you are on, but with nothing that identifies you or links one visit to another. That choice is remembered on this device and applies to every later visit.
In both states Google is an independent controller of the data it receives, under its own privacy policy. We never enable advertising features, remarketing or ad personalisation — those stay switched off permanently and are not something you can turn on here.

Both cookies are set by default. If you turn analytics off, they stop being read and no new ones are created, so Google can no longer tell one of your visits from another. To remove the existing ones entirely, clear cookies for this site in your browser; turning analytics off here stops their use but does not delete them.
5. What is not a cookie
Your answer to the banner is stored in your browser's local storage under ll-analytics-consent, not in a cookie. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it and you will be asked again.
The same applies to ll-services-cta, which only records that you have already been shown something once so we do not show it again.
6. Third parties your browser contacts anyway
Some page content is fetched directly from other organisations, which means your IP address reaches them as an ordinary part of loading it. This happens whatever you choose above, because it is how the content arrives:
- OpenStreetMap Foundation (
tile.openstreetmap.org): map tiles, and only on pages that show a map.
It sets no cookie through this site, receives nothing you type here, and is not used to track you across other websites.
7. Turning analytics off later
Use the buttons in section 2. You can also clear cookies and site data for this domain in your browser settings, which removes both the analytics cookies and your stored answer.
