What does a 5 hygiene rating mean?
The Food Standards Agency rates food businesses from 0 to 5 after inspection. A 5 means hygiene standards were "very good". The rating covers food handling, the condition of the premises and how the business manages food safety. It does not measure food quality, service or value. Ratings are published by the local authority that carried out the inspection and can change at the next visit.
