How to choose a solicitor in the UK
Solicitors in England and Wales are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and you can check any firm or individual on the Law Society’s Find a Solicitor service. Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own separate professions and regulators. Before instructing anyone, get the fee basis in writing.
